Meet and Greet your Teammates!
Hi Goldfish team members!
I'm Cnd, one of the two co-palhonchos of team Dualscar ♥ Psiioniic. I thought we should start by having an informal post where we introduce ourselves, talk about what kinds of fanworks we like to do, and just generally get a discussion going. You can use the form below, or just introduce yourself however you like. Please tag into each others threads and be friendly!
This is also a place where you can feel free to ask any questions you have. I did HSO last year (I was on Sollux ♠ Eridan) and so I have some idea of how this works. Though there have been some rule changes this year, the basic way the challenge works doesn't seem to have changed.
As an aside, I would strongly suggest that you 'track' this community, so you can get a notification when new posts go up. Once the challenge starts, timelines can sometimes be tight, and I don't want anyone to miss out on being able to participate, or miss any deadlines.
I'll be posting another post for contact info in a few minutes!

I could probably say it over a voice-chat on sometime, hehe, if anyone [other than me] would be up for having group-covos on Skype? [can actually be quite nice]
So what's your Native language then? :3
Small island by the name of Hasnøy http://tinyurl.com/d3wteyq
Luckily it's not in the middle of nowhere, and not tropical either~
Probably one of my favourite HS-quotes, sadly x3

I'm Filipino! I speak the local lingo pretty well but I can't type it without messing up somewhere :) Sadly we are tropical which means going as a troll requires constant retouching :((

or at least had a cute meaning..
Filipino? That's pretty cool, for some reason it seems like about 90+% of all Homestuckers are American, so being a multicultural team is quite neat~
Well, all climates come with their ups and downs?
It's currently summer here, but we had snow last week, and now it's raining non-stop, and it never gets dark.
Cosplaying in those conditions makes you truly dedicated, which is admirable~

I know at least half-a-dozen local fen who joined HSO this year, and a couple more who tried but missed the cutoff. :( We're a rather active group because we consider ourselves as part of one crazy family. :)
Aw, I guess we do have to be crazy dedicated to cosplay in the heat but then you may have to deal with the cold over there? Unique circumstances everywhere! :B

As for the American thing, I'm Canadian. Does that count? ;)

as a kid I read the books translated, Galleon, Sigd and Fjong, almost all the characters got new names too, it was so confusing suddenly reading it in English when I got old enough. HP nostalgia. What I've found out through
stalkingresearch is.. 4 Americans, 2 Canadians, the rest being Filipino, Portuguese, Norwegian and.. uhm.. s.Korean? Not sure how accurate that is though~
But of course Canadian counts ;P
While I was travelling the US, the Americans would always point out the Canadians before I was introduced, like a heads-up. It was kind of awkwardly sweet.

Does one need a heads-up about Canadians? We're a polite species XD;

I'd say main difference is political views.. As I experienced it at least.
Though I met this one Canadian in Arizona who was being the most stereotypical American possible, then he refused watching anything but Canadian TV to compensate.Fun times.

LOL, except for Sanctuary
